It’s the most developed and populated of the east coast beaches, probably because it’s connected to the main town by a reasonable road which makes access easier. The resorts here can help out with timetables for taxi’s to and from Mae Haad which will help you plan out your days.
The beach is hemmed in on either side by rocks and boulders, topped with jungle on the pointed outcrops. This creates a real hideaway feel to the cove and is a stunning sight to behold from the comfort of a bungalow veranda.
Just north of the edge of the cove you’ll find some great snorkeling in refreshing and beautifully clear waters. Cruising around the cove with a snorkel and fins is a great way to spend days on this beach and it’s the kind of relaxing activity that suits a place like this down to the ground.
